The New Maid in the Family..

Recently, my family and relatives got my grandpa a maid cos he is now 85 yrs old with high blood pressure. We are afraid tht he may fall down at home when no one is with him during the daytime where my uncle who is staying with him goes to work.Thus, we hire a maid for him and the maid arrived abt a wk ago. I was there at the maid agency to help selecting the maid through looking at the different photos of the maid.

When the maid finally arrived, i then got to know how they were being paid. They were very under paid for the first 9 months! Their salary for Indonesian maid is at $350 of which $320 is given to the agency in Indonesia where they got their 2 months training and Leaving them with very little of $30 per months. Which means that will only get their full pay $350 on the Starting of the Tenth month tht they work here.. I wonder how are they suppose to save up money for their family in Indonesia. Isn't it sad to hear about this? Plus the maid is only 1 yrs older than me..

Imagine tht you are born another country where your family can't support you and you have to come out to work during your teenage yrs living in another country and with another family.. I feel myself so much fortunate tht i am born in my family where i get to study what i want and do want i love most compare with the maid where she start her job 5 yrs ago..

Besides the point, the maid tht we hire has been performing quite well as all my aunts praise tht she can do the chores very well. Her cleaning of things are much better than my aunts! The maid bought handphone over to Singapore (which she can't call back cos she don't have money to buy a calling card yet) and got a 6.1 mega pixels Kodak digital camera (which costs her $1.5 million in their currency tht is roughly $250) cos she likes to take photos (which she only can develop her photos when she returns back she said to me). Isn't tht interesting?

Now, back to me.. From tml onwards for a continuous of 8 days, i will be going back to sch for revision lectures both by the local lecturers and the overseas lecturers. Most of the lesson are from 10am till 5pm.. Hiaz.. So sianz.. Final exams coming in a month's time.. Pressure is on now.. Must work hard but still lazing ard on some days.. Must Jia You le.. hee..

My bf had seen the previous posts and luckily, i am still kicking alive.. Struggled by him as warnings.. haha.. Nevertheless, i think tht post has work in a way tht he is sending me home more offen than before.. So nice of him.. hee.. A happy lady in the house! My birthday is ard the corner.. Rather sad cos i m getting older.. But given news tht my bf is going to bring me to the Singapore Flyer if he can get the tickets, i am really looking forward to tht day! :)

My Brother will be finally back from China this coming Saturday after his 2 months overseas attachment. I am also looking forward to tht cos when he is back, he will have to soak the clothes and not me who is doing it for the past 2 months.. hee..

Tht's all i have to blog now.. Going to watch the tv show on channel u liaoz..
