Malaysia Bai Nian Trip

It's still Chinese New Year period. Well, my grandparents were Malaysian then and my great-grandparents were buried there. And my grandma's sister is still staying in Malaysia. On Sunday morning, we went to Malaysia to pay a visit to them. :)

One of my grand aunt has a garden behind her house. This was where we had some fun picking up fruits dropping from the tree. Back to Kampong style.. Besides, i have phobia for dogs. As usual, such places confirmed have dogs. It's super scary for me. But as long as they don't bark, I'm okie. hee..

Well, as you can see on this photo, it's my dad using some old school equipment to push the fruits and let them drop on the ground for us to pick them up.

That's farmer bing.. hahaha.. Just for photo purpose.. hee hee.. it's super hot lor.. And i don't wanna fed those hungry mosquitoes.. hahaha..

It started from putting them on their shirts. Then slowly moved to a flower pot. And finally to bags.. My greedy uncles and aunties..

There are more bags than what you see here.. I guess in total about 4-5 bags of such fruits..

That's my grand aunt (91 years old) and my grandpa (88 years old)..

A vintage photo found at my grand aunt house. It was taken when she was 18 years old and was pregnant for 5 months. Can you tell from this photo? Unbelievable..

After the fruit picking session and some catching up session, it's was time to head back to Singapore.

While walking back to my dad's car, this was what happened. My dad was scratching his back like a monkey. hahaha.. Then, my mum went to help him. I wonder what has happened.

Then, i found out that there were leaves sticking on my dad's shirt. ha~ And my mum was helping him to remove them.

A closer look at the leaves. They were from that fruit tree. It's a way that it disperse it's seeds.

Well, that's all for the Sunday trip to Malaysia. Hee hee.. And not forgetting those ang baos that i collected.. :P

Recent updates: Went down for a meeting for the community service work yesterday. I was lost. Street directory not updated!! It make me lost my way. I wanted to go to Serangoon CC but it showed me the old Serangoon CC location which is now a temple. What's most scary? There's a big dog along the way. It was quite a quiet private estate. In the end, i was late for tht meeting. Haiz. Never trust the street directory again, i then found out that the CC moved 3 years ago. I will have to check from different sources next time. A lesson learnt here.

Moving on.. Finally, i finish watching the Korean drama - Cruel Temptation. Nice show. I cried on the last episode. opps.. hahaha.. Hopefully, no more late nights for me.. :)
